Pride in Moray is important to me as it was needed in our community for our community. I have been a part of history happening in this area with the creation and evolution of Pride in Moray and can see how vital the work carried out supports the LGBTQ+ community and can’t wait to push forward doing great work with the amazing board and all the fantastic values and skills held within it.
In my spare time you will find me listening and singing along to music, spending time with family and friends or walking my dog Harmony. My LGBTQ+ icon is Paul O’Grady! Fabulous entertainer whether in a frock or a suit and shares my love for dogs!

Pride in Moray is important as I was born and raised in Moray and have seen how isolating it can be first hand. I'm passionate about helping Pride in Moray grow and thrive and bring as much positive energy, opportunities and support to the area as we can.
When I'm not designing I'm usually creating art, doing trapeze or listening to rock and techno music.
Tabitha Coffey is my LGBTQ+ inspiration. Watching Tabitha Takes Over always gives me a real boost in confidence and she is an absolute icon!

I spent most my life hiding my true self, scared to tell anyone who I truly was. This badly effected my mental health. Pride is important because for others, it means that they can talk to like minded people, so they don't have to hide; where they can get help & support and advice they might desperately need.

I joined the Pride in Moray committee at the start of 2024. I mainly look after marketing tasks such as maintaining our website and social media, but I will get my fingers stuck in most things!

I knew I was queer from a young age, but homophobic language used in daily life around me made me fear being open about who I am. It wasn't until I moved away from my hometown that I started to accept myself, and after many years felt comfortable being unapologetically queer.
There is a clear lack of diversity within rural populations in Scotland; in the workplace, in community events, and in general rural life. That's why I think it is so important that Pride in Moray continues to grow, thrive and spread love in our community.
