About us

For the LGBTQ+ community in Moray isolation is a very real issue - we have very little visibility within the region and we want that to change. 

Pride isn't just about celebrating queerness, it’s also an opportunity to raise awareness of the issues our community still experiences just for being LGBTQ+.

We strive to represent and support our community as best as we can and were delighted to receive recognition for our work by winning the Charity/Group Initiative Award at the 2024 Proud Scotland Awards.

Our main goal is to preserve, promote and protect the mental health, physical health, and social welfare of our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender+ (LGBT+) Community in Moray by:

• Providing signposting for advice and support for the LGBT+ community available locally and nationally (eg information on health and other services)
• Facilitating social events to help address social and geographical isolation faced by the LGBT+ Community
• Promoting fair and equal treatment for the LGBT+ community by challenging the stigma, discrimination, and anti-LGBT+ attitudes and behaviours experienced at both a community and a personal level, either indirectly or directly.

At the end of 2023 we received Scottish charity status which allows us to strengthen our contribution to society. We rely on donations and sponsorship to keep our annual Pride in Moray event free for everyone to attend. Every penny we raise goes straight back into the work we do and the events we put on.
